Worth. He called Luke Short out in front of the White Elephant Saloon.
At just a few feet apart, Courtright went for his gun. Short was faster with his first shot shattering Courtright’s thumb. Courtright attempted a “border shift“ tossing the gun from one hand to the other. He wasn’t fast enough and Short then dropped him in the street.
