In 1900, Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, and their gang posed for a studio portrait in Fort Worth, dressed sharp and grinning like businessmen. It was pure vanity.
A local detective spotted the photo in the window, sent copies to the Pinkertons, and soon the image was on wanted posters across the West. That single photograph, meant to celebrate their success, became their downfall. The men in the portrait are (left to right) Harry “the Sundance Kid” Longabaugh, Will “News” Carver, Ben “the Tall Texan” Kilpatrick, Harvey “Kid Curry” Logan, and Robert LeRoy Parker (aka Butch Cassidy)
